Meet Dr. Gary Sexson II
Dr. Gary Sexson grew up in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin, where he developed an early fascination with orthodontics during his own treatment at age 13. This passion never wavered, driving him through years of education to become an orthodontist dedicated to creating confident smiles for his community.

Dr. Sexson earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. He further specialized by completing his Master’s in Orthodontics at Marquette University School of Dentistry.
Beyond his academic achievements, Dr. Sexson is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society. He also gives back to the community through programs like Donated Orthodontic Services and the Give Kids a Smile campaign.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Sexson enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two children, Gabriela and Gary III. He also has an active interest in politics, history, and contributes to his community through various initiatives.

The clear aligners system can only work if the recommended guidelines are followed exactly! Aligners should be worn 20 to 22 hours per day throughout treatment. If patients neglect to wear the aligners as directed, it can impede the results and also add time to the orthodontic process.
Clear aligners are at their most efficient when correcting many of the most common orthodontic issues. For some complex cases, clear aligners may not be a good option.
